Java ME SDK 3.0 and IntelliJ IDEA

Finally I found some time to download and install Java ME SDK 3.0 to find that there is problem in using it with IntelliJ IDEA 8.1.
The problem is that when I try to run compiled application there is no way to select single emulator as all of them are listed in
single line instead of drop down menu.

IntelliJ IDEA, missing file in the JAR

Last week I was helping somebody with mobile project targeting multimedia development that required mp3 file to be added to the final JAR. I spent good 30 min thinking and checking my older similar themed projects for any clues that would tell me why my packaged application was missing required mp3 files.

How to add resources to IntelliJ IDEA and NetBeans

From my web site log files I learn that some of the visitors been looking for a way to add resources (images, videos, sounds, libraries and others) to their mobile or other projects through NetBeans and IntelliJ IDEA.Until this day, I haven't got anything in regards of this topic so here we come. I will show you how I usually do it. I'm not sure if it is correct way to do it (if it is wrong and you know more appropriate way please do let me know) so consider it as sort of hack. On the end of this entry you can find link to download an example of small mobile application created in NetBeans with Java Platform Micro Edition SDK 3.0, it will also work with Sony Ericsson SDK 2.5.0.3. It will not work under Sun Java Wireless Toolkit 2.5.2 as this does not include Mobile Media API (JSR-135) library that I used for playing MP3 files in provided example.

How-To custom WTK NetBeans and IntelliJ IDEA

"Where did you get this Sony Ericsson emulator?" or "How did you get this Sony Ericsson emulator in your IDE?"
These are often asked questions that I often get from variety of forums and at university from younger fellow students.

There is nothing difficult about obtaining emulator for your favourite mobile manufacturer. Just visit their homepage and somewhere there you will find link/option to go developer section of the site which besides variety of technical specifications on most of manufactured models, often even going years back, you can find tools section, tutorials and even forum for dedicated discussion with other community members.
